Twitepad for iPhone released

Twitepad for iPhone was approved by Apple and is now available for download. It also supports all the usual Twitter functions incl. Lists and Search, but probably the most interesting features are these:

  • Automatic synching with Twitepad for iPad. 
    Twitepad automatically syncs the last read Tweet between your devices, this works for your Timeline, Lists, Searches. And you don't need to setup anything it just works seamless in the background
  • Thumbnail pre-loading
    When I am on the road I always hesitate to click on a link unless I am really sure it's worth reading, because I stare at a white loading screen for a long time until the website finally appears.
    So Twitepad for iPhone loads the website in the background while you can still continue reading your Tweets. You can see the loading progress at the bottom of the screen. Once the site is loaded just tap on it and you can read it, without any further waiting.

Twitepad V1.50 approved

Apple was really quick this time and just approved Twitepad V1.50!

  • Lot of speed improvements.
  • Rearranged some menus.
  • Synching of last read Tweets with other Twitepads for iPad or iPhone.
  • When you change the content of a column your read position and the unread counter will be saved.

For those of you wondering when Twitepad for iPhone will be available. Well it's currently waiting for Apple approval. So should be out soon.

Twitepad One released

Today we released Twitepad One. Features all the features of Twitepad, except these limitations:

  • One Twitter account only
  • One column only

And it's FREE. 

Twitepad V1.3 was finally approved, took like forever it seems this time... Anyway it should be available for download now. Here the changes:

  • Bigger tweet edit Window (and it does not shrink anymore). In the current version, the tweet edit popup shrinked sometimes when you replied to a tweet.
    In the next update it will always open at top of the screen, same as a "new Tweet".
  • Easy accessible "@" and "#" keys when writing a tweet.
  • Change Twitter account from the Tweet edit popup. This makes it easies for users with several Twitter accounts.
  • Improved error handling when sending tweets.
  • Twitlonger support
  • Optional: Open links from Tweets directly in the main browser, i.e. no thumbnail pre-loading
  • Delete Tweet, of course only for your own tweets
  • Email Tweet, send a tweet by email to a friend.
  • Default setting for Auto-refresh time. All new Twitter columns you create will use this auto-refresh time as a default. You can still change it from the "Settings" menu.
  • Open iTunes URLs in the App Store app.
  • Manual safe mode. In safe mode Twitepad starts with only one Twitter column. 
    In the current release Twitepad starts automatically in safe mode, when it crashed or couldn't close properly some reason. Well seems this is a bit too safe, so now there is a switch in the settings.app to enable safe mode for the next launch. You only need to activate if Twitepad for some reason crashes on start-up.
